It’s much more fun over here than on LinkedIn so I’m reviving my Medium account for daily/weekly musings that can be helpful to someone else. Writing isn’t something I thought I’d ever do or enjoy as much as I do, but that’s life, right? Things change.

Rolling Your Eyes At The Credentials

Listen, if you only knew. If you only knew what I had to go through to get all of the letters, you wouldn’t roll your eyes anymore. In fact, I put on my bio website (located at https://www.moniquemills.biz) that I have a bio page and share credential info (even though I dislike it very much), because that’s what’s required for me to get the respect or even simple conversations started in my world of engineering, tech startups, and business leadership.

I know…it’s a shame. But I’m over it. It’s the world we live in and people are complex. I understand these things at the age I am now. I wish I had known many of these things when I was first starting out. It would have been nice to throw it in the teenage to adulthood conversations.
